The Las Vegas Intertribal 2011 Eighth Annual Pow Wow is now in the history books, and again we whom attended and participated all owe a debt of gratitude to the hard work put into the productions and culmination of this years Pow Wow by the efforts of each of the members of the Pow Wow Committee under the able guidance and directions of Herb McCabe and Regina Brady.

A very special Tribute was done this year from the members of and on behalf of the Pow Wow committee, for our beloved Leroy Spotted Eagle, with presentations to his wife, Lucy Spotted Eagle. Watch for links to the photographic record of this tribute may be viewed HERE, and also on the Warrior's Medal of Valor Page.

With this year Pow Wow in the history books, work is starting for the 2012 Pow Wow where we can all each again give honor to the men and women Veterans who have served this country through their own sacrifices and those also of their families.

Watch this site for information of the posting of this year new photographs on all the web site, along with some specials and other information for the coming year 2012.

It will probably be several weeks before we get all the new information and photographs posted and update some of our pages, so check back as often as you can.

To all of our visitors, Dancers, Drums, vendors and participants, we of the Pow Wow Comittee thank each of you and all of you collectively. You each made it again happen for the Pow Wow and our Veterans!!

2011 ROVING PHOTOGRAPHER (RP) was Bea Vigil and was selected from one of the young men or women dancers for this year, and was asked to photograph all the views and dancers and people around the Pow Wow from her own perspective. Her pictures are now showcased on a page on this site permanently, with links to her pictures from our Pow Wow Galleries Page , or this DIRECT LINK for your immediate viewing! Selection of the Roving Photographer was made on Saturday morning, the first day of the Pow Wow. A camera was furnished for the "rover" to use all day, and was collected at the end of each night to download the images and charge the batteries for the next day of use. Bea did a great job, as her photographs show, and we thank you for your extra effort and thoughtfulness!

Our Vision

Many of us came here to Las Vegas from different parts of Turtle Island seeking work and a chance to better our lives for our families. We had to leave behind our extended families, community ties and they ways of life we had "back home." To regain this sense of community we all left behind we offer community events beginning with this annual Veteran's honoring powwow. Please join us in building this dream.

Our Mission

To create a community forum to honor our Veterans and Elders, emphasizing intercultural Indigenous Native sensitivity, celebrating tribal traditions, and promoting the positive aspects of our intertribal First Nations peoples.
